“Well have to say I have had a result - very chuffed! Spent ages yesterday on internet and phone and no one seemed interested other than to replace the screen. All said I was wasting my time in trying to get it removed. A lot of hard work very time consuming and poor result. However today spoke to Steve who is the local Area Manager for Glass Doctors To my surprise he then went to his car mixed up some more in a small bottle and gave it to me at no cost. About an hours work at home and now scratch free !!! excellent result as thought I would have to get screen replaced. So thats the proof it can be done. To be fair the scratch was not that deep but caught on your finger nail and was about 2mils wide and in an arch of about 15 inches right in line of sight. I spent ages trying to clean it out before I discovered it was a scratch. He is Novus trained and shares a machine so if it had been worse he would still have been able to deal with it but I think quite expensive. Thanks for replies guys much appreciated.     I would like to thank you for the fantastic repair to rectify the shambles of a job by *********.

    I took my new C63 AMG for a minor stonechip initially to ********* for repair, the job was very poor and cosmetically worse when thay had finished.

    I took it to one of the guys in Kent and after 30 mins there was a fantastic improvement although not invisible due to the cock-up by Idiotglass initially.

    DO NOT use ********* as you may be as unhappy as i was.

    Barry is the proud owner of the awesome AMG Mercedes C63 and drove from BIRMINGHAM to Oxford for Glass Doctors to try and re-repair his windscreen chip. We are pleased to report that the screen was saveable. As you can see he was initially recommended to an insurance approved replacement company. This is a typical example of what we see all day long and a valuable lesson.

    Guess I fell into the “50% of windscreen chip repairs carried out in the UK are so bad that they serve no purpose whatsoever” But with a little love and magic from Dave he redid the chip taking my eye off the anoying previous repair by a sub standard copycat!! Thanks Very Much! Rory, Highgate.
