A windscreen repair technician goes through special courses taught by trained instructors. They learn how to properly repair a windscreen so that the windscreen strength is not only restored but the crack becomes nearly invisible. After learning the techniques involved in repairing a windscreen they then practice on many windscreens before they complete their training.
A clear resin is placed on the crack of the windscreen after the windscreen has been properly cleaned and air has been released out of it. The resin is then hardened using UV lights and is finally polished. This process is less expensive then replacing the windscreen and the process is often better for the car because the manufacturer’s seal of the windscreen is not broken. Window repairs can be made on most cracks up to 24 inches long.

Car rental companies, limousine companies, and insurance companies use windscreen repair technicians often because it if more cost effective then constantly replacing damaged windscreens.
