What to expect after a windscreen chip repair

Although a windscreen chip repair is much less noticeable it is not guaranteed to be totally invisible.
How much you can see after the repair is dependent on the size, age and position of the damage.
A repair is always more visible from the inside than the outside because it is backlit.
Older damage is likely to contain dirt and contamination that makes the repair more visible and can limit bonding strength.

The customer accepts the glass is unserviceable prior to any repair and may crack when a repair or polishing is attempted due to stress that is latent within the glass.
Although every care and effort is taken when repairing damaged glass, no responsibility is accepted for any further damage that may occur when a repair or polishing is attempted.
The customer is responsible for specifying all damage to be repaired, Glass Doctors cannot be held responsible for any missed repairs or scratches which are not pointed out at the time of the work.
A structural repair will be fully chargeable regardless of any cosmetic imperfection.
The cosmetic appearance of any repair is not guaranteed.
Repairs over Ø 20mm are not guaranteed.

Re-repairs carry no guarantee whatsoever and are attempted at the customers risk.
The Customer is responsible for informing Glass Doctors if the glass has been previously repaired.
Glass Doctors reserve the right to charge a callout fee for attending damage that has been previously repaired regardless of whether the customer was aware of this or not. The attending Glass Doctors technicians’ determination in this respect is final and binding.

Scratch Polishing
The cosmetic result of scratch removal is dependent on the depth of the existing damage, so it may not be possible to remove certain scratches without leaving some distortion.
Glass Doctors are not responsible for any cleaning whatsoever especially after scratch removal.

Written orders and vehicle keys must be supplied at the time of the job where required.
Glass Doctors do not offer any timed appointments and cannot be held liable for any consequential loss that may arise.
The customer is responsible for any parking charges, parking fines, bus lane fines, congestion charges, diesel surcharges & air quality charges.

Repairs are structurally guaranteed for a period of 30 days (trade) or 1 year (retail) as long as you remain the owner of the vehicle.

Re-repairs are subject to a £10 surcharge.
Windscreens with camera systems or Heads-Up-Displays carry a £10 surcharge.
Customer home visits and off-site visits are subject to a £30 call out charge for unrepairable damage and a £10-£20 fee at all other times.
Working on a ladder or a step is charged at £10 extra.
Time spent obtaining authority, orders, keys, and complying with Contract or Health and Safety conditions are charged at £40 per hour or part hour.
A cancellation fee of £30 may be charged for broken appointments.
Copy invoices are charged at £1.00 each.
We reserve the right to charge interest on all overdue debts at 3% above base rate.

Lien and Title
All resin remains the property of Glass Doctors until paid for in full and may be removed in the event of
Glass Doctors retain the right of lien over any vehicle or glass until paid for in full.
